Greektown Casino says it gave out the largest progressive jackpot in Detroit’s history Sunday night, awarding more than $2 million to a woman playing a “Wheel of Fortune” slot machine.
'I saw the winning combination come across the line, and the machine went dark,' the winner told the casino in a statement. 'I thought, I just killed the machine. The machine then lit back up and revealed I had won over $2 million, and I thought, ‘Wow, I really did kill it!’ '
The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, will use the influx of cash to buy a new dress, a trip to Disney World and a trip to Cabo San Lucas.
She also plans to return to Greektown Casino, the statement said.
The city’s previous largest progressive jackpot was also at Greektown Casino, in 2004. That year, a casino guest playing a 'Wheel of Fortune' machine scored a prize of $1.77 million.
